I haven’t used it yet, but I’ve unpacked it and inspected it. I feel like it’s going to be fine. It’s seems to be built well and the markings on it will make for good alignment and the adjustability that it has is going to fit most any door that I’ll use it on. I’ve put off replacing interior doors for ages because every separate jig I looked at only did one single part, either hinges or lock holes alone. I’m really glad this all-in-one set covers hinge mortising, lock boring and latch routing all together in one package, no need to hunt down extra separate tools later. The 6063 aluminum jig looks sturdier than cheap plastic versions I’ve seen listed elsewhere, so it should hold up through repeated home renovation jobs.

I checked multiple similar all-in-one door jig kits and most carry a much higher price tag for the same combination of functions. This set comes with the dedicated nylon latch mortise tool that many competitors leave out entirely. The heat-treated carbon steel hole saws also look like they’ll resist overheating during drilling, a common weak point mentioned in other product reviews.

A lot of cheaper jigs only support fixed-size hinges and leave me scrambling when I switch hardware sizes. This aluminum template adjusts to 2.5” to 5” hinges, covering both 1/4”, 5/8” radius and square corner styles. I also noticed the listing reminds you to fasten the lock template with screws before drilling to avoid shifting, which fixes the flimsy alignment issue many buyers complained about on similar kits.
