Recliner Pad for Hardwood Floors

I really wish I had found these sooner. This non-slip recliner pad works perfectly. It helps if you have more than one person trying to put it under a recliner, but once it's under there, the recliner does not slide around. It's thick and well made. It seems to be very durable. This fit under a standard recliner that had a round base. It works so well, I ordered an extra one for another recliner. I wish they made these in couch and loveseat sizes. If you have a recliner or chair that likes to scoot when you sit down in it, this is your fix.

Both hubby and I have recliners in our living room, but for some reason his recliner likes to travel.Mine understands the assignment: You live here. This is your spot. Stay.His apparently has wanderlust. 😂I'm constantly pushing the darn thing back into its designated “spot” because it slowly works its way across the living room floor until I'm trying to walk around it without banging into it. Again.SIR. YOUR PARKING SPACE IS OVER THERE.So when I saw this non-slip furniture mat, I immediately thought this might be the perfect solution to The Great Migrating Recliner Problem.At 30 x 30 inches, it's a good size for putting underneath a single recliner, and I really like that it can also be trimmed if needed. That makes it much more versatile than something specifically molded for one particular chair or furniture footprint.There's no adhesive involved, either. No glue, no sticky strips attached to the floor, no elaborate installation project. Just position the mat underneath the recliner and let the double-sided grippy surface do its thing.And that grip is exactly what I'm after. Instead of hubby getting comfortable, reclining, getting up, reclining again, and gradually sending his chair on another little sightseeing tour of the living room, this gives it some traction and helps keep it where it belongs.Welcome home, recliner. Please remain at your assigned gate. 😂I also appreciate that it creates a protective layer between the chair and the floor. A heavy piece of furniture repeatedly scooting around isn't exactly doing the flooring any favors, so helping reduce both movement and potential scratching/wear is a double win.The material itself isn't ridiculously thick at about 0.2 inches, so I'm not putting the recliner on some giant platform or creating another obstacle for myself to trip over. It's fairly unobtrusive once the chair is sitting on it—which is exactly what I want. I don't need a decorative statement. I need recliner containment technology.It's also easy enough to wipe clean, and I like that it could eventually be repurposed under another recliner, sofa, chair, table, or other piece of furniture that suddenly develops aspirations of seeing the world.For value, if this saves me from repeatedly shoving hubby's recliner back where it belongs—and saves my legs from unexpectedly meeting the corner of said recliner—it's worth it to me.I didn't realize I needed a parking brake for furniture.Apparently I do. 😂🪑Now STAY, recliner.STAAAAAY.Good chair. 😂

Having marred terribly a lovely parquet floor once upon a time, I always love to have the furniture well steadied with either footers or a mat of some kind, and this one is excellent.First, it's highly functional. It's nice and thick, so even a heavy recliner or metal edged round chair should be quite safe.Second, it's attractive, in and of itself. Especially since you can go with red or black. That allows it to handle quite the array of furniture colors.Lastly, it's fairly comfortable. So, if the tootsies find purchase, it doesn't feel like a penalty, but a feature.All told, it's a really nice item. A win, here.

The material is rubbery on both faces. The floor side stays put on wood, and the top side keeps the chair from sliding around on the pad. It's thin. My chair sits at the same height it did on bare floor.Nothing is taped or glued down. The whole thing slides over a few inches when I want the chair somewhere else, then stays where I drop it. There's a full layer of it between the chair feet and the wood. The square is bigger than I need. The material is soft enough to take a scissor cut.Trimming is possible but permanent. So I won't.

This recliner pad works great on my hardwood floors. It helps keep the chair from sliding around while also protecting the floor from scratches and scuffs. The non-slip surface keeps the recliner nicely in place, and the 30-inch size provides good coverage underneath. It was easy to set up and has made a noticeable difference. Great product for protecting floors and keeping furniture stable.
