I loved the look of this wall lantern and had to try it out. - And I loved it just as much when we received it. I appears very high quality right out of the box. (I really wish we could have gotten the 2 pack, but even 1 upgrades your porch nicely.My hubby was the one to install it (hard wire). He said the installation and instructions were straight forward and very simple.There are 3 settings:- on all the time- dusk til dawn- motion sensor with very dim light the rest of the time.There have been only a couple of issues.- The area to adjust the settings, etc, is in an awkward place - especially if you have to put it to the right of the door, and the end of the porch is right there. It is difficult to see and adjust properly. (We can use a ladder, but there is also a tree there). Its a personal problem, but was just stating it in case it may affect others also. It would be nice if it was somehow underneath maybe?- The dim light is VERY dim. Barely useful if you are stepping out onto porch. I finally learned that it brightens up if you walk out a ways. basically, it is very dim unless someone is coming to the porch, which is a good thing.Anyways, it has proved useful. not bad for the price range. He said it was totally 4 stars, and recommended if you need a budget way to get motion sensing lights.(I tried to catch the difference between the light and dim in the last 2 pics, but it's hard to tell)

This is a great budget-friendly exterior hard-wired lantern packed with some useful features. The quality seems durable, and will last a good amount of time in the elements. Its not overly fancy, but its clean and neat looking. What I think adds to the value is that it does have motion sensors that are controllable, and dusk to dawn features. On the side you can control and adjust the features. Light is not overly large, its a great size for a back or front door, shed, or an outdoor garage light. As mentioned, its a great lantern for the price!

I am reviewing Wall Lanterns Outdoor,Exterior Light Fixtures with E26 Sockets & Tempered GlassI am 100% happy with this porch light. I love the lantern design. The materials feel lightweight and a bit better quality than I expected for under $50.The functions are easy to use. The switches are easily accessible. I love being able to just leave the inside light switch on, and the light comes on automatically when it becomes dark. It came on before full darkness, which is a plus. They're hardwired, so you don't have to worry about solar draining, this lasts as long as it's dark. The E26 socket bulbs are easily available, and I found a flame shaped bulb that is thin and gives the lantern just the right look.The materials are lightweight, but coated with a black layer to deter rust. The glass is thin and very clear. It's open at the bottom and I had no trouble putting in the bulb after mounting the fixture. It was straightforward to mount, and comes with all you need except for a screwdriver. Super simple. I did it myself in minutes.I love the look, and for the low price, I can change it out in a few years without worry.

Impressed with the build quality and quality of materials on this exterior light given that it's made fully of metal and has a nice look to it. The basic black look and style matches my existing outdoor lights quite well which is a bonus.I have also been purchasing expensive "dusk to dawn" bulbs to solve the issue of having to turn lights on/off at night - but the built in features on this fixture solve that problem. Love the ability to set it to turn on and off at dusk and dawn and the additional flexibility options of having it remain dimmer at night until motion is detected and also setting the level of illumination on the dim setting.The unit has an open bottom which should help keep debris from accumulating if it were to fall down into the fixture. It takes a North America E26 standard light bulb. Installation is straightforward with a black/live, white/negative and grounding wire. On my front porch it is pretty well protected from the elements so I should hope it lasts a long time. The price is about $46 at time of my purchase and review which is around that of similar fixtures though maybe a bit on the higher end.

I got this fixture to replace an outdated one. This was one of my first DIY adventures with electricity but everything went smoothly. The fixture is sturdy and the parts were straight forward. It comes with a 'universal' mounting bracket that worked for my situation after I did a bit of maneuvering. I initially tried to keep the old bracket in place and overlay the new one but that was not ideal since I could not keep the install level (it was crooked). I reoriented the brackets to keep things level and it was smooth sailing from there. This is much brighter than what I had before with frosted glass. And I like that is is open to the air, this way dead bugs don't accumulate inside. I still need to seal the outer edges with silicone to waterproof it. The instructions indicate you do need to seal it, but it does not come with gasket or anything. I turned off the motion sensor feature but it still does the dusk/dawn cycling. I think this is a nice fixture and will be getting another one!
