I planned on hiring a plumber because I’m definitely not one and wouldn’t have even known where to start. However, while looking over the parts, I glanced at the instructions and thought they looked easy enough that I could at least attempt it. I was still in disbelief that I was actually going to be able to do this myself, but it really was just as easy as the instructions made it look.The faucet had one hidden screw on the bottom to remove, and then it was as easy as sliding the old faucet off and the new one on. I did use a cloth as a little extra protection so I wouldn’t damage any of the inner plastic parts, although I’m not sure it was really necessary.The water adjuster was nearly as easy. There are two long screws, a collar screw, rubber gasket, decorative collar, and a handle with another tiny hidden screw. What makes it especially easy is that when you take apart the existing one, the replacement parts are nearly identical except cosmetically. You do need to make sure the water temperature indicator is aligned correctly, but there really wasn’t anything tricky about it. I never had to turn the water off, use brute strength, or even deal with pesky plumber’s tape.This really feels like it was designed so the average homeowner can swap it out without much trouble. It felt great to finish it myself, but at the end of the day, the easy installation deserves most of the credit.The HomGoo replacement itself also feels surprisingly well made and durable. The shower diverter doesn’t leak or drip like my old one did. The finish is smooth with no visible imperfections, runs, or scratches, and it looks like it will be easy to wipe clean. I especially love the upscale farmhouse look.One thing to be aware of is that this set does not include the drain or overflow hardware. I originally didn’t think I would mind the mismatch, but once everything was installed, it was much more obvious than I expected. I have already ordered a matching set to finish the look.Overall, I think the price is very good compared with many name-brand trim sets, and I’m impressed with the quality. Where this set really shines, though, is the ease of installation. I love knowing that I could easily change it out again if I ever decide to change my decor. It’s functional, attractive, affordable, and genuinely DIY-friendly.

I'm really happy with this shower trim kit overall. It looks great, especially in the matte black finish, and it's an excellent value considering the parts are metal instead of plastic. Installation was straightforward, and I had no issues getting it set up. I also appreciate that it's compatible with Delta 14 Series valves, since Delta is my dad's preferred brand (he's a plumber), which gave me extra confidence in the purchase.The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the shower arm. The included rain shower head is mounted on a standard shower arm instead of an extended rain shower arm, which leaves the shower head too close to the wall. It still works, but it doesn't provide the overhead rain shower experience I was expecting.Overall, I would definitely recommend this trim kit. It's well-made, looks fantastic, and offers great value. If it came with a proper rain shower arm, it would easily be a 5-star product.

I bought this to replace our guest bathroom delta shower head. I love the look of the black and boxy square finishes.A few things I would like to point out though. The tub faucet does not sit flush on the wall like the previous delta faucet. It’s about a quarter of an inch off, I realize that I could cut the copper pipe to fix this, but I would have liked for it to just fit being that it’s supposed to.The showerhead was difficult to get on without it leaking everywhere out the back. I finally realized it was missing the rubber gasket, and we took a rubber gasket from the old showerhead and put it on there and then worked in the process of doing this and figuring this out, the. Showerhead where it attaches got scratched up. Even using a towel under the wrench, the black paint peeled.It would’ve been fantastic if they would’ve included plumbers tape as that is a required necessity for changing out fixtures.Additionally, it should be noted that it does not come with an overflow drain replacement or a drain. So if you’re switching from a different color fixture to this, you’ll want to purchase those separately.The handle feels incredibly sturdy. It’s a thick metal. I appreciate how well the faucet handle seals up against the shower keeping any water out.Overall, I’m happy but just thought I should clear about things that were disappointing. Or didn’t seem exactly right.
