This is a pretty robust setup for ceiling storage of the standardized 12 gallon black and yellow snap top bins you see on Amazon and at big box stores. They are made to be installed on rafters with 16-inch centers, which is a perfect fit for the 12 gallon bins. The directions are clear and easy to follow, and the brackets are very sturdy and finished nicely. The provided screws are long enough to reach thru drywall and into the rafters to ensure a secure mount. Overall, I would recommend these brackets. Please note that these brackets are intended to be installed a specific width apart when mounting directly to the ceiling, which limits their use to the smaller 12 gallon bins or other bins that will fit between rafters with 16-in centers. While the brackets can be used on larger bins, it would require modification to the mounting procedure due to the change in the spacing width of the brackets. I wound up mounting 1x3 strips to my ceiling and then attaching the brackets to these strips in order to accommodate the larger 27 gallon bins of the same design.

I did not know I needed these as badly as I did. I'm so happy with how my cluttered shop cleaned up with storing things in bins on the ceiling. Once installed it looks incredible. I have some serious weight in my bins and this system is sturdy I can ten you that. The product itself is very well made, easy to install and a pretty good price point.

I mounted this in my basement to give myself some extra storage, and once it was up I was very happy with it. Everything mounted securely and I didn't run into any real hassles during installation. That said, this isn't something I would rush. Put aside some time, measure everything properly, make sure you're mounting it securely, and take your time getting the rails lined up. Do that and the finished rack looks really good.Once mounted, it feels solid and gets storage up off the floor and into space that wasn't doing anything for me anyway. That's exactly why I wanted it.Installation went smoothly, it looks good, and I gained a nice amount of extra storage in my basement

These are truly genius. They are heavy duty, well made, and have essentially created an entirely new storage area in my garage out of space that wasn't being used for anything before. The steel rails feel substantial once installed, and I really like that the system can be expanded and connected to create as much overhead storage as the space allows. Instead of having storage totes consuming valuable floor or shelf space, I can slide them overhead where they are out of the way but still accessible when I need them. Installation is straightforward as long as you locate your ceiling joists and plan the layout before you start mounting everything. Once secured, the system feels sturdy and gives the garage a much cleaner, more organized appearance. At under $60, I think this is an excellent value. Good storage is really about making better use of the space you already have, and these turned previously wasted ceiling space into useful storage without adding another cabinet or shelving unit to my garage.

I ordered this overhead rack after getting tired of tripping over totes every time I walked into the garage. Between coaching gear, seasonal stuff, and random tools, my floor space was basically a maze. This little rail set fixed that in one Saturday afternoon.Setup was not bad at all, even for someone who is not a professional installer. I found my ceiling joists, followed the included hardware and instructions, and had it mounted in about an hour. The steel rails feel thick and heavy in a good way, nothing flimsy or bendy like some of the cheaper options I looked at before ordering. Once it was up, I loaded five totes onto it and there is zero sag, even after a couple months of use. What really surprised me was how much calmer the garage feels now. My totes sit up above head height, out of the way, but still easy enough to grab when I need something. I labeled the fronts so I am not guessing which bin has what. The black finish also looks clean, not like some ugly industrial thing bolted to my ceiling. As far as value goes, this thing punches way above its price. I compared it to a few pricier ceiling systems and honestly could not tell a difference in build quality. The powder coating looks like it will hold up fine over time, and the whole system feels like something built to actually last rather than something that will rust or warp after a season. If you have a garage, shed, or basement with wasted ceiling space and bins everywhere, this is a smart way to reclaim your floor. My only tip is to double check your tote sizes match up before you order, since the rack itself is just the frame and hardware. Would order again without hesitation.

Know that the bins do NOT come with this set. The side supports are VERy strong. Made of iron possibly? The limiting factor on weight for this product is the lip of the storage bins. Make sure the lip has sufficient strength and coverage to sit on the edge of the side support.

This is a nice overhead garage storage rack option. You can screw these metal bars directly into the ceiling of your garage. It does not come with the actual storage bins. This is just a way to hold the bins above your head. So you’ll have to buy your own bins separately that match the same length as these bars. That are also strong enough to be held up on the lip corners of the storage bin. The metal bars themselves are really thick and seem very sturdy. I wouldn’t expect the metal to bend. But depending on the bins you choose. As those plastic bin corners may bend a little. So if you already have bins that you’re confident will stay up if they’re being held up by the edge of them then great. This is the storage solution for you. However, if you do not have bins yet and you’re not looking at buying more bins. Maybe you just want one complete solution then this is not the set you want. As this requires you buy additional items in order to complete the storage solution. So depending on your personal situation this could be a life saver, easy solution. Or it could be just one piece you need and you have to buy additional items. Or you may want to look elsewhere for the complete storage solution. For me I need to buy bins now to match this hanging set and that’s a little bit of a pain. I’m afraid to get ones that may break. Overall it’s an okay solution but only if you already have bins you want to hang. The bars themselves are heavy duty and come with the set of screws needed to attach them to your garage joists.

I absolutely love this overhead bin storage solution! I needed a way to get additional storage totes off the basement floor because I had several bins sitting next to my existing tote rack with nowhere else to put them. This system was the perfect solution. The overhead rack is designed to mount directly to the ceiling joists, and it comes with the necessary hardware and instructions for installation. I installed mine on the unfinished ceiling joists in my basement, and it gave me a great way to store five totes overhead without taking up valuable floor or shelving space. You can also combine multiple sets if you need even more overhead storage, which makes this a very flexible storage solution.I am using mine for holiday decorations, seasonal clothing, extra bedding, and other items that I don’t need to access every day. I added labels to the front of each tote so I can simply look up and immediately know what is stored in each one. That makes grabbing what I need much easier without having to pull down multiple bins or dig through everything. The construction feels sturdy and durable, and the black steel finish looks great in my basement. I especially like that it keeps my totes neatly organized and completely off the floor, making much better use of otherwise wasted overhead space. One thing I recommend before ordering is checking the product listing for the recommended tote dimensions. The product page provides information about which small, medium, and large totes are compatible with the system, so you can make sure your existing bins will fit properly. The product page also includes installation videos, which are helpful for understanding how the system is designed to be installed. Overall, this is a practical and sturdy storage solution that transformed unused ceiling space into valuable storage. If you’re tired of having storage bins taking up floor space, this is an excellent way to get them organized and safely stored overhead.
