This is a nice soldering iron station kit that includes just about everything you need to get started. The station includes both a soldering iron and hot air gun with a variety of tips for each. Both feature adjustable temperature settings and the dial controls the hot air output strength. The station requires some assembly, and while it’s easy to figure out, no instructions were provided. Both tools heat up quickly seem to work well. The overall quality is good but it’s not professional or commercial grade. That said, if you’re looking for a nice soldering station for your home workbench or DIY/hobby projects, this is a great option.

This makes monitoring and adjusting the temperature much easier during work. The T12 soldering iron heats up very quickly, reaching working temperature in about 10 seconds, and changing tips is simple. The hot air gun uses a brushless fan and provides a smooth, stable airflow, which is helpful when working on smaller components.The included accessories add a lot of value. The kit comes with a magnifier lamp, helping hands, multiple soldering tips, different hot air nozzles, and a desoldering pump. Having these tools together saves time and makes it easier to start working right out of the box. The helping hands and magnifier are especially useful for detailed repairs because they keep the board steady and make small solder joints easier to see.In actual use, the soldering iron temperature control has been stable and responsive. It works well for soldering wires, circuit boards, and small to medium electronic components. The hot air station is also useful for removing surface-mounted parts like resistors, capacitors, and ICs. The soldering iron and hot air station both work well. They heat up quickly, maintain temperature, and the kit includes a generous assortment of tips, nozzles, helping hands, a magnifier, desoldering pump, and other accessories to get started.Where this kit falls short is in the overall design. The hot air gun is permanently attached to the station instead of unplugging like many other units. If you only need the soldering iron, you're still dealing with the extra cable and handpiece, which makes the station feel more cluttered than it needs to.The soldering tips are another disappointment. They simply press into the iron instead of locking in place. They stayed put during my testing, but I would have preferred a positive locking system for safety and peace of mind.The accessory organization also needs work. There isn't any onboard storage for the extra hot air nozzles or soldering tips, and the hot air holder has to be completely removed with two screws if you want to store the station in the original box or a compact one. The hot air nozzles use tiny screws and square nuts instead of the common slide-and-lock design, making nozzle changes slower than they need to be and since they aren't locking, they'll have a tendency to loosen up over time.The electronics themselves are solid, but for a station in this price range I expected a more refined design with better storage, easier accessory changes, and a removable hot air gun.

The station comes disassembled, but it's easy enough to attach the arms, hotair holder, light-up magnifier, etc. The listing shows temp numbers which appear to be in Fahrenheit (896, 796) but it comes defaulting to Celsius (which is good in my opinion) and the manual doesn't mention any way of changing it. It draws just 1W when on but idle, with both temp readouts just being blinking lines.The soldering iron uses a 60W element to heat up, and reaches temp quickly. The lock-screw connection is very much appreciated, as my Hakko's connection being just a basic DIN plug eventually gave out.I'm not a fan of how it doesn't have a proper lock for the tip units though, instead just being press-fit into place. The included tips are nice, with a typical point (although fairly stout), a knife blade, and my preferred wedge shape. The temperature adjustment is pretty nice, quickly changing when held with single presses allowing for fine adjustment. Otherwise, it works just as you'd expect a 60W iron to work, although it does feel pretty wimpy and cheap in the hand. It's not overly bulky though.The hotair blower is permanently attached and uses a 600W element, modulating around a set temperature, with the central dial on the station being to set its fan speed. The set temperature is pretty accurate when measured with a thermocouple a few mm from the bare nozzel. When you turn it off, the fan continues to spin until the element has cooled.Installing the step-down nozzles is a pain because it's hard to keep them from shifting and spinning around without the screwdriver torquing out of the screwhead. I'd recommend sticking with just one (or none) and calling it good. Without a nozzle it works well for large 12mm heatshrink with adhesive, although I set the temp to max (480C) to make it go quickly. It seems much better than the cheap one I had before which just plugs into a wall, at least, and the ability to change the airflow speed is very nice.The other attachments are hit or miss. The helping hands are nice (I like these bendy arms far more than the old wing nut arm style) but the way they're situated on the body of the station means they're often in the way for grabbing either tool. I might mount them to something else though, just connecting via M3 screw ends.The LED ring on the magnifying glass is a very dim (0.2W power draw) six-LED array of awful, ice-blue LEDs. I may try and replace these with something much better, but as it comes I don't have any reason to use it. If you absolutely need a tiny splash of light it can help, but any other articulating light would benefit you more.The solder sucker is the sort with a stamped metal shaft which I've had terrible luck with in the past. The variants with solid metal shafts are far more rugged and have anecdotally been far more powerful and consistent. The solder itself is lead-free so it goes into a drawer, likely never to be seen again, and the tweezers, while seeming to be nicely made and fine-tipped, are metal so solder can stick to it. I much prefer ceramic tweezers for solder work to prevent this.Honestly, I feel like this should be $70 not >$100. It's nice, but it's not nearly that nice. It's an okay solder/hotair station combo with a bunch of tat stuck on.
