Submersible Water Pump

I got this water pump for a shed I have that floods on one side during heavy rain. The ground has tilted in and I wanted an easy way to pump water out a window. For the size and portability, this works great. You just plug it in and it's design to work even with low-level water, which I love. I don't leave it on 24/7 and use it as needed during the rainy season. It does what it advertises. Be sure to leave the unit out to dry fully before storing away to avoid mold/mildew issues with the interior of the unit.

This is a very nice pump- so far has been very reliable and seems durable as well. It's well constructed and feels like it will last a very long time, especially with intermittent use since these are not designed to be permanently installed anywhere. The pump is nice and heavy and the plastic is super thick and durable on it, feels like a quality product.It's been very reliable so far, we haven't had any issues with performance or connections on it. The extra long power cord is a huge bonus for keeping it away from any water you're pumping. We connected a garden hose to it and the pump was doing very well, no issues with flow or water capacity on the output. I expect with a larger hose it would be even more efficient, but we didn't shell out for the larger hose. It comes with several adapters for the base to accommodate larger hose sizes as well, which is nice if we ever decide to upgrade.We attached this to a post and dip it into a pond to water some potted plants sitting right nearby, and it's perfect for that use. Able to be just dropped in and pulled out very easily and gives us a portable garden hose so we're not lugging buckets back and forth. The movable sediment guard on the bottom is a very nice touch too- definitely keeps bigger debris out and will preserve the life of the pump for sure. It's easy to swing out of the way as well if you need to get in and unclog something, but we've not had to do that yet.Great value for the money compared to buying in store, so that's always a positive. Works just as well as any other I've used from the big box stores. We've used it to drain a few large trashcans that were left outside too, and it's worked great every time.Connects to any 15 or 20 amp 120v outlet, so there's usually always an option nearby. I'd recommend this if you need a pump!

I bought this pump to help drain standing water quickly, and it exceeded my expectations. It has plenty of power and moves a surprising amount of water in a short amount of time. What would have taken hours with my old pump was finished much faster with this one.The filter base is a nice feature because it keeps larger debris from getting into the pump while still allowing it to pull water down to a very low level. I used it in a flooded section of my basement and later to drain a small pool, and it performed flawlessly in both situations.The construction feels durable, especially for a portable pump. The thermoplastic housing is lightweight enough to move around easily, but it still feels solid and well-made. The 16.4-foot power cord gives you plenty of flexibility without constantly needing an extension cord, which made setup much more convenient.Operation couldn't have been simpler—just connect the discharge hose, plug it in, and it gets right to work. The motor runs smoothly and consistently without overheating, even during longer pumping jobs.Overall, this is an excellent high-capacity utility pump for the money. Whether you're draining a swimming pool, hot tub, garden pond, or dealing with unexpected water in a basement, it gets the job done quickly and reliably. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable submersible pump.

Used this to drain my pool in Florida before getting it resurfaced and retiled. Stainless build feels solid, not the cheap plastic housing you see on a lot of pumps at this price.1-1/4 HP and 4600 GPH is plenty for a full pool drain. It pulled the water down fast and kept running the whole time without any hiccups, no overheating or cutting out. Filter base on the bottom kept debris off the impeller, which matters since there's always leaves and grit sitting at the bottom of a pool that's been sitting for a while.It's not silent, but no submersible pump really is. Noise level seemed normal for what it's doing.Only thing I have issue with is the cord length. Make sure you've got an outlet within reach or plan on an extension cord, since you don't want to be moving the pump around mid-drain to find power. The stainless housing should hold up better long term than the plastic ones.

This review is for the TOPWAY 1-1/4 HP 4600 GPH Submersible Water Pump. The product includes the pump, attachments, and operating instructions. The pump was well packaged in a cardboard box with interior foam to provide cushioning for the package contents. The pump I received was undamaged.The instructions provide very good guidance for getting started, so be sure to read/understand them fully. The handle is very, well, "handy," and the long cord helps to reduce the potential need for an extension cord for semi-permanent installations. The pump itself isn't heavy, but it doesn't feel cheap, either. The pumping action is also good: this pump quickly drained my small, in-ground pond with no difficulties.The one area that gave me concern, however, is the plastic shield that helps to prevent larger debris from entering the pump. As you can see from the photo that accompanies this review, there is a small gap between the pump body and the shield that could allow larger debris to pass through. In my testing, I didn't experience any problems because of this, but it does make me hesitant to use this pump in an environment where the water may have some trash in it.All in all, though, this still seems to be a solid, versatile pump that will definitely help reduce the time needed for my home and lawn projects. It should also make a decent backup sump pump for a crawlspace or basement if the need arises. I'm giving this item 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5).

I ordered this pump for moving a large amount of water quickly, and after using it, I’m very impressed with how well it performs. It has plenty of power, starts up without any problems, and moves water much faster than I expected for a pump in this price range.
