I will explain the 3-star rating by way of my review.First and foremost: THIS BAG IS NOT WATERPROOF. The silicone coating is (obviously) impervious to water, making the bag water resistant. However, the zipper mechanism is not waterproof and, if this bag were submerged, the contents will become waterlogged given enough time. In prolonged exposure to rain, I would expect water to seep in through the zippered end and come into contact with the contents. I make this a big issue because the listing and packaging claim the bag is waterproof which simply isn't true. The false advertising means a loss of a star right off the bat (and I seriously considered returning the item for that reason alone).With that glaring issue out of the way...the bag appears to be fairly well-made, but nothing spectacular. The zipper functions well, but is stitched in such a way that it does not fully close, leaving a 1-2mm gap. I wished to purpose the bag for keeping a couple of standard-sized folders of documents safe in the event of a fire, which it does well with very little room to spare. While I haven't tested the heat limits, I have no reason to doubt they're inaccurate. Overall, I'd give it a 4-star rating but for the false advertising in the listing.
