i'm currently using this 6-inch duct air inline filter box as an exhaust for a sectioned-off room that i'm using like a tent. it serves its purpose really well, especially since i replaced the included pleated filter with a carbon one for better odor control. the galvanized steel construction feels durable and the epdm gaskets create a really tight seal, ensuring all the air passes through the filter as intended. the snap fastener design on the top makes it super easy to open for tool-free filter replacement too. it's a robust and effective solution for ventilation needs.

First off, I could tell this was going to be quality when I noticed that they had painted the spot welds to match the appearance of the metal exterior. The rest of the inspection just confirmed that the quality was consistent, and that they put a lot of thought into the build. From the spring loaded latches (2 of them even), the rubber seal around both ends of the 6" inlet and exhaust tubes, the seal around the lid, to the sealant on the interior to make the box airtight. This box is certainly holding it's own. They did include a wire mesh supported filter, however, I will not be using it because I have other plans for this unit. In my video, I mentioned two things that I have to correct here. One is that I will not be using a filter in conjunction with the UVC light I am installing, as the light would deteriorate the filter within a short period of time. The second is that I will not be using a flange for my fan to the box, but instead will be using an elbow, for the same reason (the elbow will eliminate light exposure to the fan). Other than that, the rest of my video is accurate. The perfect size, build quality, value, and accessibility.
