So, it's good for a a deep sump pump, but not ideal for pool covers or flat floors you want to pump down to the last 1/4".This pump feels solidly assembled, and has a nice long power cord to keep the connection away from water. It doesn't have any auto shutoff for the liquid level, but has a thermal shutoff if it's run dry for too long.This seems like a good price for a quiet pump which can move a lot of dirty water all day long. Just don't expect any frills like float switches or flashy lights.
