Sold by Flexoria.Impressive. This Extension cord is sturdy yet very flexible. The PVC jacket is thick and durable.The Plug end has a cover to help with keeping weather out, but it is not water proof. Besides, who leaves an extension cord outdoors without something plugged into it, in the rain? Even that isn't a good idea. So, the cover is kind of a gimmick but yet there is some usefulness.At 16 Gauge, the cord can carry up to 13 amps. However, to be conservative, 10 amps max is suggested for long term use. Being that this cord is black, the sun will heat it up too, if used outdoors in that condition. Indoors, no worries there. But, still you should try to keep the max amps at 10 for long term use.Over all, I think this is a Great Cord. I'm replacing an orange cord with this black one for appearance. It runs outdoors from one building to the other just to power up a single Ethernet POE switch.

I grabbed this fifty foot cord to help maintain my 34,000 square feet of turf and run temporary power out towards my young pomegranate and apple trees. The black pvc jacket has a smooth but slightly rubbery texture that makes it easy enough to coil up when I am done working in the dirt. It feels thick in the hand and the plug ends are molded tight which gives a good secure connection to my electric yard tools and my outdoor pellet smoker. I noticed it stays fairly flexible even when the morning air is chilly which is a nice bonus when you are dragging it around early in the day. There are a few downsides to mention though. The attached socket cover on the female end is a bit stiff and can be annoying to pop off if you have work gloves on. Also because it is only fifty feet it falls just short of reaching the very back edge of my property so I definitly have to plan my mowing zones carefully to reach everything. The dark color gets dusty pretty fast if you drag it through dry soil but it wipes clean easily with a wet rag. It does a good job providing reliable electricity for my weekend outdoor projects without any major hassle. I am satisfied with the quality for the reasonable price and it functions exactly how I hoped. I would recommend this cord to anyone looking for a simple heavy duty option for basic yard chores.

I am somewhat underwhelmed by this 50-foot outdoor extension cord being described as “heavy duty.” To me, it does not quite fit that label. It is 16-gauge rather than the 14- or 12-gauge wire I typically associate with heavy-duty extension cords. I had also hoped the outer insulation jacket would feel more rugged, but it is closer to what I would expect from a standard household cord used for things like Christmas lights.That said, I do like the cover on the female end of the plug. It is a useful feature and should help when I use the cord with my electric flower-bed tiller. The 50-foot length is also convenient for the tiller and for running my 1/2-horsepower submersible pump in the hot tub or swimming pool.Overall, this cord is acceptable for light to moderate use. It is ETL compliant, works for smaller indoor or outdoor jobs, and includes a protective cover for the female end when it is not plugged in. This is an extension cord. 50ft, 16awg, black, with ground.Extension cords are one of those things that are easy to take for granted, or to assume are all made the same. Well, that's just not the case: you can get high quality, you can get low quality, and you can get an electrocution waiting to happen. Gladly, this is an example of the first kind: high quality.First, the cord is thick for a 16awg extension cord, so I know that the jacket is well insulated, yet it is quite flexible and tangle free when would up using the old "around the thumb and elbow" method. The outlet (female) side has a handy cover so, for example, if you unplug your holiday lights but leave the cord in the yard, you won't blow your GFCI if the thing gets wet. And then there's that... it is rated for wet locations, so good for the aforementioned holiday lights, or, say, a damp shop floor. The product literature says it's rated for 13Amps, so know that... don't try to jerry rig use this on a 20A circuit with high-draw tools/appliances plugged into it: you could fry it if you do (unlikely, but I have seen it happen, especially among the "cut off the end and put on a 15A rated plug" kind of well intended but misinformed DIY weekend warrior.Personally, I got this to replace a well used but aging cord and I think it will be a good addition to my various and sundry workshop and yard gear collection.Also, for ~$25, I think this is fairly priced, maybe a bit less than I'd expect to pay for a quality 50ft 16awg extension cord at a local big box home improvement store, so a good value for the quality.
