Ok, I gave this saw 4 out of 5 stars because a few things are either weird or less user friendly than they need to be, but the positives first.This battery operated saw works with any DeWalt 20V style battery (I use off brand) and works well. This is not a contractor grade saw, but at the price you would not be sad getting it if you already have this system of battery and just need this saw for small jobs here and there, like trimming fallen branches or taking down an old dog house.The grip and trigger are nice to hold and operate, and the shape and style make cutting with it easy. The trigger will allow you to control the speed, so you can start your cuts slow with a light squeeze then ramp up when you are ready.It comes with 4 blades and any standard replacement blade will fit.Now for the nit picking.The blade lock is awkward to use. It is a spin lock/unlock but if you have work gloves on or big beefy fingers then it is a very tight spot.There is a directional button right where you would put a directional button on a drill. At first I thought it would be a trigger lock that would either allow me to lock it "on", or locked/unlocked as a safety feature, but neither of these ideas seem to be correct. My only guess is that who ever "copied" a design didn't know how one of these saws worked and just put the forward/backward arrows on it. I am not taking it apart to see if the wiring switches polls because with a reciprocating saw either direction is the same :)The rocker plate or what ever you might call it on the front of the saw doesn't rock, it is ridged. This is not a huge issue but there is a reason that on most name brand saws they pivot.

I tried this cordless tool for a few small jobs around the house. The controls are straightforward, and the grip shape is easy enough to hold. However, the machine itself feels lighter than I expected. When I pick it up, it does not have the solid, substantial feel that I usually prefer from a power tool, so the handling feels a little less comfortable to me.It also does not include a battery, so I used one I already had. The battery can be installed and the tool works, but the latch does not hold my battery as tightly as I would like and there is a little movement. It can handle basic jobs, but the lightweight feel and battery fit are the main reasons my experience has been just average.

I ordered this set of four blades to try in my green saw. They are listed as being compatible with DeWalt saws, but I found that they do fit many other brands.The blades appear to be standard quality, with good teeth set and good thickness. There are two metal cutting, and two wood cutting, blades in the pack. The longest wood blade walked right through a 2x4 with no problem. I like having extra blades around as you never know what chore lurks around the corner.The price is right to have a pack of two of these in the case with my saw at the ready.

Great little saw for the price. Lightweight, easy to handle, and works well for wood, PVC, and small cutting jobs. Not super powerful, but perfect for quick DIY tasks around the house. Very happy with it so far.

this is smaller and lighter than our other reciprocating saw, making it easier to carry when we need to climb up to cut some branches, it uses dewalt batteries, which we have from other tools.
