Two years ago we replaced two of our toilet lids with soft close lids. This lid has this soft close feature and I absolutely love it. A gentle push and the lid and/or seat closes slowly and silently on its own. However, this lid takes about 20 seconds to close completely, which is twice as long as my other lids. As I am a proponent of closing the lid before flushing, this is a long time to wait. I’m finding, I’m pushing it about halfway down and then letting it finish on its own. Not sure if this will impair the closing mechanism long-term. The best part of a slow close lid is no loud banging or slamming, plus it’s just easier. And think about this. You’re not touching the underside of the lid or seat where all the splashing from the bowl ends up. Now all of our lids are soft close and there will be no more accidental banging lids out of habit.This is made of odorless plastic, which is quite thick and sturdy. We have been using this for over two weeks and there is absolutely no sign of the screws loosening up or the seat shimmying side to side. I think this will stand up to daily use extremely well and the seat is very comfortable. All the hardware you need for either a top or bottom mount installation is included. It was easy to install, fits my commode perfectly and is very stable. This is a standard elongated size.I would have preferred a white lid to match my commode, but that was not available to me. I ordered the almond lid thinking the slight color difference would not matter, but I am finding the mismatched colors attract attention to the toilet. I would rather the attention be focused on soft towels, cute artwork or a beautiful candle or plant sitting on the counter. But that’s on me. Should have waited for a white lid to become available.The price seems to be within the normal range. I am extremely happy with the functionality of this soft close lid.

The slow closing lid on this seat works really well and lowers smoothly without slamming down or making loud banging noises like standard seats do.The mounting hardware was straightforward to install, and having both top and bottom mounting options included in the box made it easy to get a solid, tight fit on an elongated toilet bowl without any annoying wobble or shifting. The plastic material feels sturdy and wipes clean easily. The only mix-up was that I received the almond color instead of the white one I ordered. Aside from getting the wrong shade, the seat itself functions great and is a solid find for the price. Because I got the wrong color sent to me the appear isn't the best looking since the toilet bowl is white and the life and seat are almost (even though I ordered white. Great find though!

Upgrading the bathroom with this black round toilet seat turned out to be a very decent option at a cheap price. Installation was surprisingly straightforward, and I especially love that you can secure the seat entirely from the top, which saves a lot of awkward reaching underneath. The inclusion of extra washers and gaskets on the hinges and wing nuts really helps keep everything tightly secure and prevents any annoying shifting during use.The premium polypropylene plastic feels quite sturdy and promises good long term durability, carrying a reassuring weight that feels solid without being overly heavy or cumbersome to handle. It also features a slow close quiet lid that prevents any loud slamming. Visually, the bold black color looks sleek and modern, adding a nice touch to the room decor. While it also includes an optional handle for lifting the lid, I chose not to use it, but it is a nice extra feature to have depending on your preference.Considering how easy it is to clean, the secure mounting system, and the budget friendly price tag, this seat offers fantastic value for money. Anyone needing a reliable and quiet round toilet seat that will not break the bank will find this to be a great choice to consider.

I had a couple of real problems with this one, and together they make it hard to recommend. To be fair first, the parts that are okay: the slow-close hinge works as advertised, so the lid lowers quietly instead of slamming, and the almond color is a warm, pleasant tone that looks fine in the bathroom. On those points it is decent.The trouble is the fit, and it is the part that actually matters on a toilet seat. First, it runs noticeably smaller than a standard round seat, so it does not sit on my bowl the way a normal round seat should, leaving it looking and feeling off rather than a proper match. Second, and more frustrating, it will not stay tight. No matter how firmly I fix the mounting bolts, the seat keeps shifting and sliding around in use, and I have gone back to tighten it more than once with no lasting fix. A seat that slides every time you sit is genuinely uncomfortable and a little unsettling, which is exactly the opposite of what you want here.I want to be balanced, so it is possible the fit issue comes down to the smaller size not matching my particular bowl well, which then lets it rock and travel. If your toilet happens to run on the smaller side, your experience could be better than mine. But for a standard round toilet, the undersized shape and the seat that would not stay locked down made this a poor fit for me, and the annoyance outweighed the nice slow-close lid.So despite a couple of okay features, the core job of fitting snugly and staying put is where it fell short, and that is why I cannot call it a good buy for my toilet.

This is an almond round toilet seat that has some extra features you don't typically see with most toilet seats. The first picture shows everything that comes with this seat. Most toilet seats are secured to the toilet with a plastic bolt going thru the hinge with a plastic wing nut securing it under the seat. The problem is over time they loosen, making the toilet seat loose. With this toilet seat they include a rubber gasket that goes between the bottom of the hinges and the top of the toilet seat (see picture of the gasket installed on the bottom of the hinges). The bottom also includes a rubber washer between the wing nut and the underside of the toilet. When you tighten the bolt and wing nut, this helps to secure and keep the seat in place. You can see pictures of the toilet seat installed, with the lid & seat up and with just the lid up, and with the seat fully closed.Also included is something I haven't seen before - the ability to secure the seat only from the top. There is a rubber insert that goes in the hole in the toilet seat and the plastic bolt is replaced with a steel bolt. At the bottom of the runner insert is a nut - as you tighten the bolt, the insert spreads out to secure the seat.Another unique feature is the handle to raise and lower the toilet seat (see picture of the handle attachment with instructions on how to install it). You simply snap it into place on the bottom of the seat on the side you want it. You can see the installed handle on the installed toilet seat. One minor criticism: the seat handle is not the same almond color as the rest of the toilet seat.Definitely the coolest feature is the automatic closing lid. If you start moving the seat down and let go, it will slowly lower and close by itself (see the video of the lid closing on it's own).The one other minor negative - the toilet seat itself is a smaller width than most typical seats.Overall, this is a good quality seat with a few addition benefits you don't normally see.
