My 20-year-old Ridgid shop vac has been getting quite a workout most of this year because of our home remodel. It made me much more aware of how much a plugged filter hinders its ability to vacuum. A clean filter is like night and day compared to a plugged one, especially when it is plugged with drywall dust. Nasty stuff.I love how easy these filters are to clean with a garden hose. Simply wash the crap off of them and let the filter air-dry. Simple as that. Never blow them off with an air compressor; it's not worth the health risk.These filters can be swapped out in just a few minutes. Dump the bin and you are good to go.

That's a definite bonus in the value column.While the product description lists only a handful of compatible devices, this standard VF4000 filter fits many more models, including my older WD06700 and WD17300 units. The upper and lower plastic housings are fairly stiff and took some finagling to install, causing the filter element to buckle slightly. However, performance doesn't appear to have been affected.Overall, this kit of filters will be a welcome addition to the shop.

These IYOUYA 2-Pack VF4000 Standard Wet/dry Vac Filter look identical to the genuine Ridgid filters I've been using with my vac. The photo shows one of these IYOUYA filters next to a Ridgid brand filter. They fit perfectly. At 12 bucks each, that's a saving of $5.49 for each filter compared to the Ridgid brand filters. The bonus cleaning brush looks a little small for cleaning the filter. I'll use it for some smaller cleaning tasks.

These IYOUYA VF4000 filters fit my Ridgid vacuum. VF4000 filters are the standard type for my vacuum, not the super fine dust version.The filter material seems very similar to what the official Ridgid filters use. The rubber top and bottom are a little different in design, but they are the same general shape and size.They also come with a brush that reminds me of what my mom used to use to apply hair dye in the 1990s. It is basically the same shape and appearance.One thing I found interesting is that the Amazon listing claims these filters are washable and reusable. As far as I can tell, the filter material looks the same as the non-washable Ridgid filter I have been using. Based on how dusty and full my filters get, I know I would never try to clean and reuse one. The amount of dust, wood sawdust, paint sanding dust, pollen, and insects I vacuum up are not things I would want to shake out, brush out, or try to wash away. I use my Ridgid vacuum for cleaning up the things I don't want going through my indoor vacuum cleaners.Overall, I think these filters are great and a very good value. The official filters are expensive, and these seem to perform just as well for a lot less money.

I've had my Ridgid wet/dry vac for a while now and the original filter was finally worn out and losing suction, so I picked up this 2 pack to have a spare on hand as well.
