I have a few of these door hinge jig kits. One of them is plastic and is OK, but the other one is aluminum and works great. I ordered this kit because it included the main hole drill jig and bits. I was a little disappointed that that was not aluminum also, but oh well.The kit comes in a nice hard shell plastic case with latches to secure it. Each part of the kit is surrounded by foam for protection during shipping and if you are mobile and just toss it in your truck or van. Also included in this kit was a level, which was a nice addition.I have not used this kit yet, but I gave each component a good once over and they all seem to be good quality. The hole drill is on the cheaper side as far as quality, but I have some good hole drills already when the time comes.Bottom line.. I am a DIYer, handyman and craft maker and from what I can tell this is a great kit for installing door hinges, door knobs and locks. A professional may have other opinions, but I would recommend this kit....

I grabbed this door hinge jig kit for a basement renovation project since I had to hang a few new interior doors from scratch. This is well made aluminum, not plastic. It comes in a nice box, and the only suggestion I have to make it better is to have longer measurement scales on each side. It's hard to get perfectly aligned when one side runs out of markers. Also, the setback is fixed for standard door thicknesses. Still, I would buy it again. I think it's a good product and works well.
