I have worn this one several times now while welding, both mig and tig, though it really isn't needed for tig, and it has held up and worked great. The fitment is good, I normally wear a size medium, but ordered this in a large to easily fit over my normal shirt. The sleeves are also plenty long, as that is often an issue I run into with work shirts and the sleeves being a little to short. The shirt is made out of a heavy cotton material, which really is hot to wear in the summer, even with the back vent. The shirt seems like it should be quite durable and a better value than I can purchase from my my local welding supply. I suspect that I will get much more use out of this come fall and winter when it is cooler out. Overall, I am pleased with this FR shirt, as it is much nicer than the one I had previously been using.

I got this Arccaptain welding shirt for my son who does quite a bit of welding both at home and at work. He normally wears a men's size medium or large, but we ordered this in an extra large to give him plenty of mobility when working but also to allow him to wear other layers underneath when the weather is cooler. It fits exactly how he wanted. He says this shirt is great, it's comfortable, and he really likes it. He hasn't been able to test how resistant it is to slag because the type of welding he does doesn't throw a lot of slag.He does really like that the back is vented. He also says it guards against the heat as well as his leathers, but is much lighter weight. It's also pretty affordable for the quality of the product. My son is 5'10", 200 pounds, and normally wears a men's size medium or large.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of this Arc Captain welding jacket. It provides the protection and coverage I need while still being comfortable enough to wear during longer welding projects. A good welding jacket is all about balancing safety, durability, and comfort, and this one does a great job.The material feels heavy-duty and built to handle the demands of welding work. It provides excellent coverage from sparks, heat, and debris while giving me confidence that I’m properly protected. The stitching and overall construction feel solid, and I appreciate the attention to detail in the design.I also like the fit and mobility. Some protective jackets can feel stiff or restrictive, but this one allows me to move my arms comfortably while working. The sleeves and coverage are just right for keeping exposed areas protected without getting in the way.The jacket is easy to put on and take off, and it has held up well through regular use. It feels like a reliable piece of protective gear that I can count on in my workshop. This Arc Captain welding jacket has been a great addition to my welding equipment. It offers excellent protection, comfort, and durability, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone who welds regularly or wants dependable safety gear. I’m very happy with the performance and would definitely recommend it.

I do a lot of welding at my house between working on cars and just building things out of metal and aluminum from time to time. So it was time to replace my old welding jacket that was starting to fall apart. So I came across this one and figured I would give it a try. This jacket seems to be made of some really high quality products and it fits really well. I am a decent size guy 6'2 200 pounds and it fits really well. So far I have used this several times and it seems to be holding up well and being really durable. It's very comfortable and I really like how lightweight it is. It does not get super hot when wearing it for a long time. It has a really nice color to it and overall I really like the look of it. Overall this is a great product and a great value for your money.

Finding Flame-Resistant (FR) workwear that actually fits well without feeling like you are wearing a stiff canvas tarp can be a challenge. I picked up this 9.5-ounce ARCCAPTAIN FR shirt to add to my work rotation, and out of the box, it hits the mark on both protection and utility. Here is how it breaks down for everyday job site use:Sizing and Real-World FitI am 6'1" and weigh right around 220 lbs. I was originally leaning toward ordering an Extra Large, but I decided to roll the dice on a Large, and it fits perfectly. The cut is spot-on—it is broader in the shoulders and offers a slightly looser, more relaxed fit through the stomach. The button line overlaps from top to bottom with ease, giving me plenty of room to play with. There is more than enough clearance to comfortably layer an undershirt or a t-shirt underneath without the fabric binding up or restricting movement when reaching overhead.Fabric Weight and ComfortAt 9.5 ounces, this is a heavy-duty, protective weight fabric that feels like it can handle a harsh work environment. Right out of the package, the material is a little starchy and stiff. However, that is entirely normal for standard FR gear, as the chemical treatments and dense weave required for flame resistance always add stiffness initially. After wearing it around for a bit, it is already starting to break in, and I have no doubt it will continue to soften up nicely after a few runs through the washing machine.Job-Site Utilities and AppearanceVisually, this shirt looks incredibly sharp. The dark blue color matches my company's colors perfectly, and the buttons blend in cleanly with the rest of the shirt for a professional, uniform appearance. It features integrated reflective accent striping running up the front button placket to the collar for a bit of extra visibility. For convenience on the job, it includes a dedicated pen slot on the pocket—perfect for holding a soapstone, a Sharpie, or a standard pen. As a nice bonus, they even tossed in a replacement button stitched to the inside. The Standout Feature: Built-In VentilationThe true coup de grâce on this shirt is the rear cooling design. It features a built-in breather flap across the upper back lined with a super-fine mesh layer. The mesh is tight enough to keep stray debris and sparks from getting inside the shirt, but it allows heat to escape and air to flow through constantly. That ventilation is going to be a massive lifesaver for staying cool on high-heat summer days. This earns a solid 5-star rating. It delivers an excellent, accurate fit for larger frames, smart ventilation, and heavy-duty FR protection that looks professional on the clock.

I have recently become a massive fan of the ARCCAPTAIN brand, and this flame-resistant welding shirt completely solidifies why. Being semi-retired, I no longer have a daily professional need for the highly expensive industrial welding equipment from the big "blue" and "red" legacy brands. On the flip side, I absolutely did not want to settle for cheap, low-grade junk from the Harbor that won't last or perform when you need it to.That is exactly when I discovered ARCCAPTAIN, and they hit the perfect sweet spot for value and performance. I now own two of their welders, one of their welding helmets, and now this FR jacket. While I don’t weld every single day anymore, the performance across all of their gear has been flat-out amazing. I am getting the exact same professional results as I did with the premium industrial setups, but at a fraction of the cost.ARCCAPTAIN will be seen as a "no name" brand by the welding snobs that spent a fortune on their machines. I relate to this from back in the 1980's when I was a mechanic. I had a chest full of Craftsman tools and the other guys had the tools from the big truck that came every week to rob their paychecks. I did my job just as well as them, and had more money in my pocket at the end of the week. This shirt/jacket is built with that same high standard. The 9.5oz 100% flame-resistant cotton offers substantial protection against sparks, dross, and spatter without feeling like a rigid, heavy canvas tarp. The addition of the vented mesh back is a huge design win, allowing for actual airflow and cooling when you are working over a hot piece of steel in a warm shop. The reflective strips are high-visibility and securely stitched, providing great added safety if you're working outdoors or in low-light conditions.Whether you are building out a dedicated home shop, doing maintenance, or just need a reliable, high-performance backup setup, this brand is well worth looking into. This shirt is comfortable, protective, and engineered beautifully. ARCCAPTAIN continues to deliver top-tier, high-value gear that punches way above its price point.
