I needed a ladder for doing odd tasks around the house without having to use my big, bulky ladder and this one has worked out really well. It feels sturdy and solid when I use it, but it is still light enough that I can carry it with one hand. It holds my 6'3", 245-lb body without feeling wobbly or unstable. I like the non-slip steps and rubber feet because they give me confidence while climbing. It extends up to 8.5 feet, which has been perfect for reaching high shelves, changing light bulbs, cleaning the ceiling fans, and other jobs around the house. The locking buttons are easy to use, and I like that each section can be released separately. When it is folded down, it barely takes up any room and fits easily in the garage or car's truck. The only thing I wish it had was hooks, but that is honestly not a deal breaker for me. Overall, it is a very handy ladder to have, feels well made, and does exactly what I needed. Definitely 5-stars.

As soon as we unboxed this telescoping ladder, my husband remarked, "This is a good one." He should know--as a career contractor, he has climbed countless ladders over the decades. Unlike most conventional ladders, it is compact enough for me to carry by myself yet sturdy enough to hold all 220 pounds of my husband. He tested it out on a house project and found it to unfold and lock sturdily into place without issue. I like that it is so compact and easy to store. You neverthess have to be careful while using this type of ladder and make absolutely sure that the mechanism is locked securely before climbing it. Still, if you are looking for a compact ladder for easy storage and/or to pack in your RV, this one is a good option.

One minor detail to point out is that the product listing mentions one-button retraction, but in actual use you need to engage two slide-lock switches on each rung to lower it down. Even with that manual step, the mechanism is simple to operate and retract once you get the hang of it.The overall build quality is very solid and feels noticeably sturdier than other retractable ladder models I have used. I own four DEZEX telescoping ladders of different sizes, and they are AWESOME. They are well made with heavy-duty steel and will stand up to years of use. You can throw them in a pickup bed or strap them on top of a vehicle, and they do not have any swivels or other movable parts that can get bent or misshapen. It's lightweight and easy to carry with one hand when in the closed position. There is a handle underneath that is easy on bare hands. The strap is also a plus, keeping the ladder in one solid piece for easy transport. It's very easy to adjust to different heights, and the locking clips confirm when that step is locked by sliding into place towards the outside. This means you can extend the ladder to full size, or just to the length that you need. The rungs are textured to prevent slipping, and the rubber on the bottom of the feet provide a good grip without damaging floors. The only point of caution is the be very careful when retracting the rungs. If you follow the technique in the instructions, you should be fine, but if you don't, you will find a way to pinch your fingers. Be careful! Overall, however, this is such a versatile ladder. It can extend to the length of traditional ladders but occupy half the space for storage or transport. I could even bring a ladder with me in the trunk of my 2-seat convertible, and that's insane! Highly recommended.
