Wanted to update an outdoor area without installing something overly decorative. This light was a great fit for that project. The long vertical design gives the exterior a cleaner and more modern appearance. During the day, it blends in nicely rather than looking bulky against the wall. The real difference shows up at night when the warm 3000K light creates a much more polished entrance. The light is warm rather than the harsh blue-white tone some exterior LEDs produce. I was not sure, but the eighteen watts provides sufficient illumination without turning the area into a spotlight. The aluminum housing feels appropriate for outdoor installation and has a substantial feel once mounted. Its narrow profile also works nicely beside a door where a wider fixture might look crowded. It is also dimmable!! After seeing it illuminated, the 23-inch height actually feels well proportioned rather than excessively tall. It gives the front of the house the kind of architectural lighting appearance I usually associate with newer homes. Overall, this was both a noticeable cosmetic upgrade and a functional outdoor light.

Replace our old dated wall sconce by the side door to our garage and removed the old light and the cross-bracket with post used to hold it in place (see old light being removed). Expected this to be a quick install: screw the base plate for the next light to the box, connect the wires and attach the light to the base plate. Unfortunately, the base plate is only designed to mount on a rectangular box and the base plate does not have properly spaced holes for mounting, so I had to drill an extra hole into the base plate before I could mount it (see picture of the plate mounted - notice the bottom screw is in a newly drilled hole). From there, the install was quick. You can see 2 pictures of the light immediately after mounting and one in the evening after sundown (see pictures). In addition to the light coming out the slit in the front of the light, with the way I mounted the light, it also has lights pointing up and down. The nice thing about the one facing down is it illuminates the lock on the door making it easy to see where to insert the key to unlock the door.I like the sleek modern appearance of this light and the amount of light is provides is just right. Except for being aware of mounting issue for a standard rectangular box (which you can overcome by drilling an extra hole in the mounting plate), this is a good quality light I highly recommend.

It is weather rated at IP65, waterproof & Dust-proof, rated for wet locations.What I Like About it:ULTRA-THIN PROFILE: Standing out from the wall at less than 2 inches, it sits practically flush. Because it is ADA compliant, it stays completely out of the way, keeping the room looking clean and spacious.BEAUTIFUL ILLUMINATION: It features a top and bottom light, as well as a slim, frosted acrylic front strip that also lights up. A few negatives up front in case they are deal breakers for you. If they are, then you can move on to other options. Note that these fixtures are neither UL listed or CE certified. Most municipalities don’t require such certification, so do check within your area. The bulbs are not replaceable, at least, I don’t see a way to change them and there is no mention of such a procedure in the single page of instructions. So if a bulb fails or you want to swap for a different color, this fixture won’t let you.If the first paragraph didn’t chase you off (and honestly it shouldn’t) then please read on.This is a very nice outdoor LED wall sconce! The two lights both face downward, so great for spots where the walkway or a feature on the ground is to be highlighted. My neighbors and I have an unofficial agreement that outdoor lighting is not to shine into each other’s windows. These fixtures are perfect for that!The installation looks pretty straight forward. Cut the power, remove the old fixture, mount the bracket, wire it up, secure the new fixture and power on! Sealing the fixture with an appropriate caulk is strongly suggested.If I’m doubt, hire a qualified professional. A pro can swap out an existing sconce in under an hour, way under.

I ordered this because I wanted an outdoor wall light with a more modern architectural look, and this definitely delivers. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was the build quality. The aluminum housing feels solid, the glass is thick, and the whole fixture has a sturdy, well-built feel that doesn't come across as cheap.Once installed, it gives off a clean, even amount of light that's bright enough for an entryway or patio without being harsh. It has that upscale, minimalist look you usually see on newer homes, and it really improves the overall appearance of the space both during the day and at night.I also like the finish. The textured black looks premium and should do a good job hiding dirt and fingerprints over time. It feels like a fixture that's designed to stay outdoors rather than something made with lightweight materials.The only thing I'd point out is that the style is very modern. If your home has a traditional, farmhouse, or older architectural design, this may look a little out of place. On a newer home or a modern remodel, though, I think it fits perfectly.Overall, I really don't have any complaints. The construction is solid, the brightness is right where I'd want it, and it gives the house a much more high-end appearance without spending a fortune. I'd gladly install more of these around the exterior if I were updating an entire home.
