White ceramic bowl pendant light for kitchen island or over the sink. The bowl is only 8 inches in diameter so it's meant for a cozy space. Perfect for a Farmhouse Kitchen this pendant light hangs on a twisted gold cord which is a pretty design touch. The cord meets a shiny gold cap that sits on top the creamy white ceramic chandelier bowl. When lit the bowl gives off a warm glow through the semi translucent ceramic. The whole effect is quite lovely. The ceramic bowl itself is a bit of a disappointment at least for me. I expected a more silky finish on the outside and this feels to me like a ceramic piece that has been fired but not yet glazed. The raised pattern of flowers and leaves does not look enough like the product page to me. I swear the bowl I have is poinsettias and holly leaves. Is this a Christmas bowl turned over with a hole drilled in the bottom? Well that's what pendant lights are sometimes but I wanted the one in the picture which is not poinsettias and holly. It's still a beautiful light fixture for the right kitchen and seemingly excellent quality with easy install. I can ignore the Christmas motif since I doubt anyone would notice but me.

This pendant light is even more beautiful illuminated than it is straight out of the box. The white ceramic shade has deeply embossed flowers and leaves with wonderful detail, giving it a dimensional appearance even when the light is turned off.Once illuminated, the entire design comes alive. The warm light softly glows through the ceramic while the raised floral pattern creates beautiful variations of light and shadow. Small openings within the flowers allow brighter points of light to shine through, adding another layer to the design.One of my favorite details is the twisted fabric-covered rope cord. It coordinates beautifully with the brushed-gold canopy and hardware and gives the entire fixture a much more finished, decorative appearance than an ordinary electrical cord would. Instillation is very easy and you really only need one person as it is light weight.The ceramic feels substantial and nicely made, and the combination of white ceramic, warm illumination, and brushed gold is beautiful. This is a small pendant with a surprising amount of character and craftsmanship.
